The proposal focuses on preserving the architectural character of the buildings, while adapting them to meet the needs of a contemporary, high-standard residence. In Building B, the interventions include subtle internal reconfigurations, structural reinforcements, and the integration of an elevator, all carried out with respect for the load-bearing structure and morphological features.
Particular emphasis is placed on retaining the roof slab and decorative elements, as well as restoring the façades using traditional materials and techniques.
Special attention is given to material selection and to highlighting the building’s qualitative characteristics. The plaster decorative elements are meticulously restored, preserving their original character, while the wooden floors are reconstructed in accordance with the initial design. In the basement areas, existing terrazzo and mosaic finishes are carefully conserved and reinstalled, reinforcing the continuity of the building’s material identity. At the same time, modern technologies such as underfloor heating are introduced, enhancing both the energy performance and functionality of the residence without compromising its aesthetic integrity.
